Global Redken Artist Hugo Urias recently paid a visit to Beyond the Fringe! Specializing in hair design and styling for over 20 years, Hugo has been a Redken instructor for the past 12 years. His work has recently been featured in the global collection of Redken Shapes and Shadows as a part of their Inspiring World of Redken campaign.
Hugo instructs Cutting Over the Top, an advanced cutting class at the Redken Exchange Academy in New York on Fifth Avenue designed to take hairdressers to a new level of finesse and creativity. He has impressive experience under his belt, including fashion week in L.A. and N.Y.C., along with freelance editorial work. Hugo has worked on major music videos for artists such as Britney Spears, Pharell, P. Diddy, Papa Roach, Keith Sweat and Gavin Degraw. His editorial work has appeared in Eliza, Town and Country, Teen Magazine, Brides, and LA Weekly. He has worked on the sets of Model Latina and America’s Next Top Model.
